Our Projects
Our Mission
That Animal Group (TAG) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of animals. TAG held its first meeting in April 2009. Some of our current projects include Meals-on-Wheels pet food project, legislative advocacy, assisting with animal rescues in the River Region, and the care and maintenance of several feral cat colonies in the area.
Emergency Medical Care
Ringo, the dog, was fine one day then suddenly could not move. Come to find out, he had injured himself and needed immediate medical attention. Tara, his human, was faced with an estimated vet bill for over $4,000! TAG donated towards Ringo's vet bill. We hear Ringo got to go home last night and is doing well! Please help us to help pets like Ringo who need emergency care by donating to TAG here on our web page, or you can send checks to That Animal Group, Post Office Box 3842, Montgomery, Al., 36109. We can't thank you enough for helping us! This is Ringo with his kitty best friend:

Litter of Pups SAVED and Helped by TAG In March, a Good Samaritan observed a man dumping these 5 sweet puppies. She acted and rescued all 5 sweet puppies. She contacted That Animal Group for help. TAG sponsored the vetting costs for all five of these puppies. Help us continue to help animals by donating to TAG. You can donate here on our web site or by sending a check to That Animal Group, Post Office Box 3842, Montgomery, Al., 36109. All donations are appreciated and all proceeds go toward helping animals in need. |
Litter of Kittens Sponsored by TAG
Two of my 3 foster kittens crossed the Rainbow Bridge within 24 hours of each other. They each carried a little piece of my heart with them. Baby GG (Grey Girl or could be Grey Guy) is still with me and doing well. She (and I'm often wrong about that) is beginning to look like a kitten instead of a rat! This little one is adorable. Can just see a little and looks at me closely trying to figure me out! GG will be ready for adoption in about 4 or 5 weeks. She is still being bottle fed. She was found in a dumpster in an apartment complex with her deceased mama close by. She needs and deserves a great home! Please help us continue to help babies like GG by making a donation to TAG. Click on the DONATE/SUPPORTERS link above.
This is "Bad. Bad. Leroy Brown". Leroy is an American Foxhound that was rescued off the streets. Leroy had health issues but they were resolved with TAG sponsoring his vet care. Leroy now lives in a great home with another furry brother.
This sweet girl is "Charlena". Charlena was found abandoned along a road side severely injured from being used as a "schooling dog" or a "bait dog" by dog fighters. Charlena was dumped along with another dog that was already dead when they were found. She has undergone one surgery and is still recovering and being treated for other injuries as well. TAG has donated to her medical care and our prayers go out for this girl for her complete recovery and hopefully adoption into a loving family!
UPDATE: Chaga has been adopted and found his forever home! I just love a happy ending. ❤️
Meet Chaga, a black male cat just a few months old, who is looking for a forever home. He was dropped off at an apartment complex and his foster mom says he is sweet and gets along with dogs well. Please share and help us find a home for Chaga!!
